CALENDAR 2008
Academic programmeThe UIMP Courses of Spanish language and culture are made up of Spanish language classes, which fit with the different levels set up within the Common European Framework (Level A1 to C1+), as well as of subjects on Spanish culture and society (as described below). Attendance, as indicated in each case, will be required in order to get the Attendance Certificate.
Subjects of Spanish Culture (July and August)
September Course The Spanish culture courses running from 1st to 19th September will have to be chosen from those scheduled for morning sessions (same number of hours). In the afternoon, cultural excursions will be organized throughout the course (3 each week: Cave art, Romanesque art, Gothic art, gastronomic routes…) as well as practical and cultural events. After taking the placement test, the student will be able to register in the Spanish culture courses of their choice by filling in the relevant form provided in the information folder, given upon arrival. + Students Halls • Las Llamas Campus Hall.- Same premises where classes will be held. There are single o double rooms with in-suite bathroom available. On-campus services.
The UIMP will confirm accommodation (address, hours etc...). Upon receipt of confirmation, the student will have to pay the outstanding amount regarding accommodation. The student will not be allowed to attend the course until having paid the total registration and accommodation fees in the University Halls. The rooms in Halls are reserved exclusively to students registered at the UIMP.
+ Spanish Families During the Summer courses, students can also choose to stay with a Spanish family. Bookings will be made through the Registration Office by sending back the application form and following the instructions regarding both payment and general conditions.

Examinations, Certificates and DiplomasAttendance Certificate At the end of each course, the student will receive an Attendance Certificate from the UIMP, indicating level according to the Common European Framework of Reference; this certificate will include the number of hours, and the level attained and de mark. In order to obtain the certificate, it is compulsory to attend 90% of Spanish language and Culture classes, according to the schedule as well as the hours of Culture courses based on the general programme and timetable. A workshop Certificate of Attendance can also be issued upon request. Examinations and Diplomas Exam registration dates and fees will be announced in due time; these fees, bases on the information indicated on the corresponding table, will have to be paid at the Registration Office desk during the last week of the course. DELE examination The UIMP holds accreditation from the Instituto Cervantes as an examination centre for the DELE ( Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera ) for the examination sessions of May, August and November. WorkshopsFor all levels, some workshops and extra courses will be offered in the afternoon for a limited number of students. Upon confirmation of registration, students enrolling in the Spanish language and culture crash courses will be given a pre-registration form for the different workshops. The form will be filled in and handed in at the Administration Office. The payment will be made in cash, also at the Administration Office, during the first week of the course (see list below for prices). Students wishing to attend any of the workshops listed below need to be previously registered in the Spanish Language Courses.
