In 1993, the UIMP establishes the Formigal courses (Huesca) creating a seminar program that takes place in September.

These courses are carried out in several facilities at Valle de Tena. This valley is one the most gorgeous sceneries at the Pyrenees. It is well known for its touristic attractions, winter and summer sports, natural reserves, architectonical treasuries and museums.

The sponsorship of local and regional authorities and organizations such as the Huesca County Council, the Aragón Regional Government and Ibercaja has enabled the organization and development of academic activities in Formigal.
