Javier Rodríguez Molina

Javier Rodríguez Molina is Associate Professor of Spanish Language at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he has been a professor since 2022. He has previously taught at the Universities of Granada, Carlos III de Madrid and Valladolid. He holds a degree in Hispanic Philology and a PhD with extraordinary prize from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2010). He has been a visiting scholar at the universities of Cambridge, Harvard, Sorbonne University, and Ghent.His research areas are Spanish Historical linguistics, with special attention to diachronic syntax and history of the Spanish language, and textual criticism, in particular the edition of medieval texts, disciplines to which he has devoted numerous publications. He has headed a research project of the National Plan, dedicated to periodization in the history of Spanish, and another of the BBVA Foundation, devoted to the edition and glossary of the Poema de mio Cid.

In the field of university management, he has been Director of courses for international students at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (2021-2024).
