Dr. MAXIME CHEVALIER
Dr. Chevalier has an impressive academic resume and has focused his
research on traditional and folk literature, Ariostesque epic and
ballads, reception theory literature and Hispanic conceptism history.
Chevalierâs paremiology original and editing works have merited him
international recognition as a prominent hispanist. His activities have
also contributed to the enrichment of cultural relations between Spain
and France.

HELMUT SCHMIDT Ph. D.
(Former Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany) UIMP honored
Helmut Schmidt in recognition of his fight for fundamental freedoms and
his commitment to peace. His dedication to peace went beyond his
political trajectory to become the motto of a personal and intellectual
behavior ruled by an intimate relation between the principles of moral
duty and critical thinking.
His life has been an ardent example of the Kantian German philosophy and ethics.

Barbacid MontalbĂĄnâs contributions to the field of cellular
differentiation based on the use of molecular biology and genetic
engineering have delivered widely influential results. The same is true

tumor development.
The University also honored his work leading a group of several Spanish
scientists conducting research in the United States of America while
keeping strong ties with Spain.

MassaguĂ© i SolĂ©âs contributions to the field of cellular
differentiation are based on the use of molecular biology and genetic

transformation highlighting the existence of complex intracellular
networks.

UIMP honors JosĂ© Hierroâs commendable work as a poet and a writer. His
remarkable voice stands out in the Spanish literature scene and it is
internationally renowned.
While Hierro is principally known as an essayist and literary critic,
his incursions in art creation and interpretation back his exquisite
and varied research trajectory and his university spirit.
