The Spanish summer courses (July, August and September) given in Santander last two to four weeks. You will only be able to attend the UIMP courses if you are officially
registered or have obtained a scholarship/grant. You can find all the
information relative to how to register or how to ask for a grant in
the Registration area or in the Grants area. You will also find
information on type of grants, UIMP registration fees, registration
period, application on line, documents required and complementary
information that may be very useful. Besides, you can always contact

The resolutions adopted by the UIMP’s Grants Selection Board will be notified to each applicant by writing.
The criteria for granting a scholarship are:
- Average Mark of the Student’s record.
- Academic Level.
- Priority will be given to students that have not enjoyed an UIMP grant in any of its headquarters in the last two years.
There is no established period. Courses close when all the vacancies are covered in all its centers.
The number of hours will depend on each activity and its duration.
1º) Seminaries: 30 hours;
2º) Master Courses: between 0 and 30 hours;
3º) School: 30 hours;
4º) Encounter: between 10 and 25 hours;
5º) Workshop: between 15 and 30 hours;
6º) Teachers’ Course, E.S. y F.P. Teachers : 40 hours.
Yes, there is. There are two daily controls (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) that students must sign.
Students who wish the credits of the courses in which they have registered to be recognized by their own university must get in touch with the Students’ Secretariat before the beginning of the courses in order to be informed on existing agreements and the procedures they should follow.
Yes, you can. Provided dates do not coincide and there are places available.
There are two types of Grants.
1º) Full Grant: it comprises lodgings, full board and registration fee. It does not include transport expenses.
2º) Registration Grants: these are restricted exclusively to the gratuity of the registration.
To register in the UIMP Courses it is necessary to be a university student with a diploma or a degree. People with a curriculum showing professional interests closely related to the subject can, in some specific cases, also register.
Students, postgraduates and professionals whose interests are closely related to the theme of the course can apply for a Grant.
The UIMP issues a Diploma certifying the participation to the corresponding academic activity provided the student has attended classes regularly, with a proven 85% class attendance.
NO. It isn’t. You can only attend the UIMP courses if you are officially registered or have been awarded a grant.
Only one application for a grant per person, per course and per year will be taken into account. The awarding of one Grant invalidates any new application in any of the UIMP Centres and Headquarters for the year.
You can propose a course to the UIMP by:
- Sending, before the end of the year, the project of a course to the Vice-rectorate for Academic Organizations.

All reimbursement applications must be made by writing and be addresses to the Students’ Secretariat of the UIMP.
1º) If the application is notified at least 14 days before the beginning of the course, 100% of the sum paid for registration will be reimbursed to you.
2º) If the application is entered between the 13th and the 15th day before the beginning of the course you will be reimbursed 60% of the money paid.

If your application is turned down you can make a new application as soon as the announcement of one is made in the current year.
The Board that selects those eligible for a Grant may, after studying your Student’s Record, take into consideration your application for a registration grant.
