CSIC and CNRS are proud to announce and invite you to the "Advanced Workshop on e-Science Applications in Production Grids: Status, Future and Sustainability".
The event will take place from 15th to 19th of June in Santander (Spain) at Palacio de la Magdalena (http://www.palaciomagdalena.com/home_ing.html)- UIMP, an emblematic forum for scientific discussion and advance of knowledge, in the framework of the UIMP 2009 summer courses.
The workshop will feature presentations from international speakers on Production Grids and e-Science Applications in areas like Health, Astrophysics, Fusion, High Energy Physics and Remote Instrumentation.
Advanced students will benefit from tutorials on the expert usage of Grid Infrastructures (MPI, interactivity, data access) that will be run in the afternoon.
The event will also be used as a discussion forum on the future and sustainability of distributed computing infrastructures in the advent of the European Grid Infrastructure (EGI).
This workshop jointly organized by CSIC and CNRS is the first one organized in the framework of the collaboration established between GRID-CSIC and the Institute des Grilles.
