Studies Commissions Resolutions

The Academic Commission for each Qualification will set out its way of operating, will record the minutes of its meetings and will, according to the periodicity decided upon, draw up a report on the evolution of the Qualification, it corresponding to whoever occupies the post of Secretary the recording of such minutes.

Studies Commissions Calendar

The Studies Commissions generally speaking twice a year, will meet at the behest of any of the interested parties involved, or via any other procedure that may be deemed adequate.

The habitual procedure by which agreements are to be adopted will be by the unanimity of its members.

Studies Commission


Studies Commissions are made up of two members of the UIMP and two members of the Institution which co-organizes the Postgraduate Program concerned, one of them being always the Academic Director of the Studies concerned.

The Commissions perform the functions of overseeing the evolution of the Studies concerned, as well as of the achievement of the quality criteria set down for each Program. It also sets down the criteria for the selection of students, the monitoring of the Teaching Staff involved, as well as the correct adjustment of the calendar used and of the testing and assessment processes undertaken.

Composition and Functions of the Studies Commissions

Composition

Each Qualification under the auspices of the Menéndez Pelayo International University will have an Academic Commission consisting of two members of the Governing Council of the UIMP (or persons with academic responsibilities in whom they may delegate), and also two members of the Institution involved, alongside the UIMP, in the organization of the Qualification or Program concerned, provided that one of these members is to be the Program Director.

Functions

The Commission will oversee:

  • The Study and / or Research Plan concerned.
  • The proposals for Teaching Staff and the Calendar to be adhered to.
  • The Criteria to be applied in the Selection of Students.
  • The Testing procedures and criteria for determining the degree of benefit achieved.
  • The Quality and Suitability of the Didactic Materials employed.
  • The drawing up of the Annual Budget and the drafting of the Financial Report concerned.
  • The Procedures employed so as to guarantee Quality Control.
